We will continue with inference and theme with our read aloud of
The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame each day.

  • Monday - Ch. 6 Restless Rat, Identify from which character’s perspective the story is being experienced
  • Tuesday - Ch. 7 - theme 
  • Wednesday - Ch. 8 - summary using story elements
  • Thursday - Ch. 9 - ask and answer questions
  • Friday - Ch. 10 - compare and contrast 2 versions of The Open Road

  • Monday - no school
  • Tuesday - Mr. Badger; Students will explain how a character’s actions demonstrate specific story themes: hospitality
  • Wednesday - Progress Monitor; The Hungry Troll - Students will ask and answer questions to demonstrate an understanding of a text, referring explicitly to the text as the basis for their answers.
  • Thursday - Theme, syllables with -le ending
Friday - Aladdin Ch. 1; Ask and answer questions
