I am absolutely thrilled to be your child’s Kindergarten and First grade Spanish immersion teacher! It brings me so much joy to be finishing my fourth year here at WCA—what a wonderful place to grow and learn together! While this is my fourth year at WCA, I’ve been lucky enough to spend the past 23 years doing what I love most: teaching young minds and hearts. Over the years, I’ve had the joy of teaching kindergarten through fifth grade, with a special focus on Spanish immersion and language learning.
In 2015, life brought me to Kansas to be closer to my family, where I took on a beautiful role with the Greater Wichita YMCA as an Early Learning Readiness facilitator. In that position, I worked with little ones ages 0-5 and their caregivers to prepare for the exciting transition to kindergarten. Most of my time was spent with sweet 2- to 4-year-olds—such a magical age for growth and discovery!
A few years later, Colorado called me home once again, and I returned to the classroom in 2021 as part of the WCA family. It has been an absolute blessing to be back doing what I love, surrounded by a wonderful community.
Outside of school, I’m a proud mom to two incredible children—Anastasia (27) and James (20)—and two cuddly fur babies, Teddy and Chloe. This last summer was extra special as my daughter and I traveled to South Carolina to see my son graduate from Army basic training at Fort Jackson. In October, we traveled to San Antonio for his Advanced training graduation. I am bursting with pride to share that he is now a Soldier Medic!
I am truly honored to be part of your child’s journey for the rest of this year. I look forward to creating a joyful, nurturing, and inspiring classroom where we can grow, laugh, and learn together. Here’s to a magical year ahead at WCA!
