About Me
Greetings! My name is Steve Harbula, and I'm the 6th grade English Language Arts teacher at World Compass Academy.
I returned to Colorado in 2023 after eight years in Texas, where I taught Language Arts at DeLay Middle School in Lewisville. I have a B.S. in Communications from Cornell University, and I've been married for 33 years to my wife and best friend, Danelle. Our daughter, Taryn, is in her junior year at Colorado State University. Our son, Zak, just teaches Middle School Language Arts in Grand Prairie, Texas.
I am an avid hiker, nature photographer, volleyball player, pickleball player, reader, and lover of "geek culture" (think Marvel, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and so on). And I'm excited to be a part of the WCA community!
